Raymond A. Kind

July 30, 1960 — May 7, 2021

Raymond A. Kind, 60, of Port Charlotte, FL passed away on May 7, 2021. He was born July 30, 1960, to Frank and Dolores Kind in Chicago, IL.

A longtime resident of Buffalo Grove, Illinois Ray and his wife Lisa moved to Port Charlotte in 2019.  He was a longtime fan of the Chicago Cubs and shared his love of the Chicago Black Hawks with his father Frank.  He spent most of his career working in various restaurants in the Chicago area doing what he did best making the customer happy.  He loved Disney and spent countless hours in the parks enjoying the rides and watching the people and getting a little Dopey and Grumpy.  To all the little kids in his life, he was affectionately known as Uncle Ray Ray.  He liked nothing better than spending his free time and sharing a meal with his Thanksgiving Family.

In his younger years, he played intercollegiate football and was a member Sigma Chi where he acquired his love of Old Style.

Raymond will be deeply missed by his loving wife of 25 years, Lisa Dantino-Kind; brother Michael (Nancy) Kind and niece Emily Kind; brother-in-law’s Michael (Cathy) Dantino and the late Ralph (Nancy) Dantino.; nephews and nieces Michael (Cheryl), Nikolos, Tom (Marianna), Russel, Drew, Sara, and Lindsey Dantino; and great-nephews and nieces MJ, Salvatore, Selena, Nicolette, and Gabriella.  He was preceded in death by his parents Frank and Dolores.

He was taken way too young and everyone he touched will miss that hug handshake and smile that just seemed to envelop you and just make your day better.

A Celebration of Life will be announced for a future date.  In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Make a Wish or Saint Jude’s Hospital in honor of Tyler Tucker Douglas.
