Patricia C. August

Patricia Christine August, age 86, passed away on Sunday, January 31, 2021 in Port Charlotte, FL. She was preceded in death by her sister Barbara Carroll and brother Robert Foxall. Pat is survived by her husband Henry August, her four daughters Patricia, Nancy, Amy, Marion and son Joseph, and brother George Foxall, Jr.

Pat was born on July 21, 1934 at home in Jersey City, New Jersey to George Foxall Sr. and Marie Fisher Foxall. Pat enjoyed growing up in Jersey City in a six apartment cold water flat at 3354 Hudson Blvd, Jersey City. She graduated from Dickinson High School and later attended Cooper Union art school. She met her husband-to-be Henry August on a blind date and was married on March 2, 1957. Pat and Henry had three children before moving from Jersey City to Mansfield Township, New Jersey in 1962. They had two more children and raised the family in Sunnyview, Mansfield Township. Pat and Henry retired to Leisure Lands in the Poconos and later moved to Port Charlotte, Florida.

Besides raising five children, Pat worked at various jobs, including Administrative Assistant at Koppers Coke, house cleaning, driving a school bus and production at a print shop.

Pat had many interests and hobbies. She loved raising her children, sewing, cultivating vegetable and flower gardens, growing houseplants and being involved in her church. Pat had an attention to detail and produced many fine pen and ink drawings. Her faith in God expressed itself in her commitment to church. Over the years, she and her husband participated in many Vacation Bible School skits for children. She also spread the Good News by participating in the Evangelism Explosion program while attending Mansfield Baptist Church. She was a faithful and persistent person of prayer.

Pat enjoyed breaking out in song at any time, being prompted by any random word. She knew a song for everything and anything. She will be greatly missed by those who loved her.
