Patricia A. Courtemanche

Port Charlotte, FL-Patricia A, Courtemanche, 84, loving wife and devoted mother, passed away Sunday, January 1st, 2023, after a long battle with Parkinson’s disease at Kimberly Place in Punta Gorda, Florida. She was born in Northfield, NH on March 18, 1938, to the late Earl and Juliette Simmons. Patricia grew up in White River Junction, VT and graduated from Hartford High School, class of 1957. Patricia married her soulmate Robert Courtemanche on June 22, 1957.

She is survived by her loving husband of 65 years; her children, David Courtemanche and wife Annette, Paul Courtemanche and wife Diane, Sandra Colter and her husband Blake, and Peter Courtemanche and his wife Christine; eight grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren and a sister Jean Allen of Punta Gorda, FL. She was predeceased by her sister Margaret DePalo.

Patricia was a kind, caring and giving person who always put the needs of her family before her own and a woman of strong faith who always instilled the importance of family, hard work and doing what was right. She faced every challenge in her life with courage and dignity and was a source of inspiration to all and will be deeply missed by everyone whose lives she touched.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Parkinson’s Foundation.

A funeral for immediate family will be held in Florida in June, followed by a celebration of Patricia’s life in the Upper Valley for family and friends which we will post at a later date.
