Melvin C. Keller

Melvin C. Keller, 78, of Punta Gorda, FL, passed away on April 11, 2022. He was born on August 15, 1943, to Gordon and Evelyn Keller in Baltimore, MD. Melvin served as the Director of Administration for the National Energy Technology Laboratory with the Department of Energy. He was a proud member of the Elks Lodge and Democratic Party.

Melvin enjoyed his walks with his best friend Mike, reading, watching the Pittsburgh Steelers, and cheering on his alma maters Towson State and WVU. He especially loved spending time with his grandchildren, whom he adored.

Melvin will be deeply missed by his wife of 56 years, Wilma; daughter Ann and husband Steve; son Christian and wife Tina; and his grandchildren Ethan, Sophia, and Emma. He was preceded in death by his parents Evelyn and Gordon Keller.

A memorial service will be held at 11:00 am on Monday, April 18, 2022, at the Pilgrim United Church of Christ in Port Charlotte, FL. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations are made to the American Cancer Society in Melvin’s name.
