Mary Walsh

Although a resident of Punta Gorda for the last three years, for most of her life Mary Walsh, age 97 years, lived in Hazlet, N.J.  She died Thursday, September 30, 2021, at the Harbor House Health Center, Punta Gorda, FL. Born in Springfield, MA, on February 24, 1924, Mary was the daughter of the late Thomas and Elizabeth Creehan and was a resident of Monmouth County NJ most of her life. Mary was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church of Punta Gorda, FL.

She was pre-deceased by her husband John J Walsh and brother Frank Creehan and sisters, Elizabeth Johnson and Anne Butler. Survived by her two sons John Walsh of Hillsborough, NJ and Thomas Walsh of NYC, NY, and four daughters Elizabeth Remine of Virginia Beach VA, Margret Morris of Rock Hill, SC, Catherine Wybern of Punta Gorda, FL and Mary Walsh of Lawrence, KS; seven grandchildren, Alison Hawkins, Cathy Lesher, Cristen Lesher, Charles Lesher, Jessica Walsh, Anna Walsh, John Walsh; and one great-grandchild William Baker Hawkins.  She is also survived by her sons-in-laws, David Remine, James Morris, Gregory Wybern, and daughter-in-law Maria Walsh.
