Mary Dal Pian

Mary Mastrodicasa Dal Pian, 107, of Providence, Rhode Island and Punta Gorda, Florida, passed peacefully from this life to the next on January 23, 2022, just ten days short of her 108th birthday. Mary was the eldest of four daughters of Angelo and Anna Conte Mastrodicasa of Providence, Rhode Island. She worked at the family’s restaurant, Angelo’s Civita Farnese on Federal Hill, into her 76th year. Known and loved by everyone who met her, Mary was an excellent Italian cook and loved nothing more than seeing family and friends enjoy their food.

Married in 1932 to Silvio Dal Pian, Mary had three sons. She was predeceased by her parents, husband, sisters Ida Cirelli, Vera Muoio, and Lena Roberto, and one son, Robert Dal Pian. She is survived by sons Richard Dal Pian of Punta Gorda, Florida, and Stephen (Nancy) Dal Pian of Port Charlotte, FL, granddaughter Jennifer (Lonnie) Lawson of Punta Gorda, three great-grandchildren, and treasured nieces and nephews.

Mass of Christian burial will be held at St. Mary’s Church, Cranston, Rhode Island with burial immediately following at St. Ann’s Cemetery.
