Lannie "Joe" Hutchison

Lannie “Joe” Hutchison of Port Charlotte, FL, passed away on September 3, 2022. He was born on December 2, 1946 to Barnie Cleveland and Mary Lou (Dollar) Hutchison in Madison County, Tennessee. He graduated from Huboldt High School in 1964 in Humboldt, TN and attended Memphis State University. He married the love of his life, Linda Whitman Hutchison on July 17, 1966 in Gibson County, TN.

Joe and Linda lived in Humboldt, TN before moving Port Charlotte in 1981. He was a member of the Tennessee Army National Guard for 6 years and a partner in Whitman Drainage of Humboldt, TN and Arcadia, FL. He was also a member and deacon of First Baptist Church in Port Charlotte, FL where he sang in the choir before becoming disabled with Multiple Sclerosis.

Joe will be deeply missed by wife, Linda Whitman Hutchison, sons Randy Hutchison of Smyrna, TN, Bart Hutchison of Port Charlotte, FL; his daughter Sally (Keith) Taylor of Inverness, FL; grandsons Daniel (Olivia) Hutchison, Isaac Hutchison, and Gabriel Taylor; granddaughter Katie Taylor; and sisters Bonnie Lou Christie of Humboldt, TN and Lela Kay (Doug) Kipp of Sprakers, NY. He was preceded in death by his parents Barnie Cleveland and Mary Lou (Dollar) Hutchison and grandson Cory Hutchison.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial contributions be made in Joe’s name to Tidewell Hospice.
