John T. Vasey

On Sunday, May 17, 2020, John T. Vasey passed away at the age of 92.  John was born on June 12, 1927, in Menomonie, Wisconsin.  At the age of 47, he retired as an Executive for Kroger and moved to Charlotte Harbor.  Here he led a very active life building houses, Longwood Driving Range, an auto sales business, and contributed greatly to the development and building of Genesis Christian Church and Genesis Christian School.  He was most recently a salesman for Cart City, a family-owned business.  John was known as a man of great faith that loved the Lord, loved people, and loved life.

John will be greatly missed by Martha Jane Vasey, his loving wife of 72 years; two children, David (Connie) Vasey and Donna (Terry) Rexroth; three granddaughters, Heather (J) Hernandez, Angela (Ben) Morton and Dena (Zak) Kramer; and four great-grandchildren, Maddox, Wyatt, Liam, and Aubree.

A Graveside Service for John will be held at the Charlotte Harbor Cemetery, located at Harper Avenue and Church Street on Saturday, June 13, 2020, at 10:00 am.
