Alfred H. Rozanski, Jr.

September 1, 1943 — March 14, 2021

Alfred H. Rozanski, Jr., 77, of Port Charlotte, FL passed on March 14, following a brief illness, his cherished wife and life partner by his side.  The son of the late Alfred H. Rozanski, Sr. and Ruth Rozanski.  Al was a graduate of Dedham public school and the Art Institute of Boston, MA.  Al and his wife were high school sweethearts.  Together ever since, Al & Raphaela shared many years together.  The couple first lived in Norwood, MA before settling in Medway, MA.  Upon retirement, Al & Raphaela settled in Florida.

In addition to his beloved wife Raphaela (Vendetti) Rozanski, Al is survived by his two daughters, Nicole Rozanski and her husband Geir Hammer of Houston, TX, and Alecia Edmonds and her husband Jay of Franklin, MA.  Al is also survived by four grandsons: Andrew (Drew) Salway of Franklin, Christian (CB) Hammer Rozanski of Houston, Sam and Fox Edmonds of Franklin.

A sci-fi fan, artist, photographer, self-proclaimed computer ‘geek’, and talented wood and ironworker.  Al loved nothing more than watching the sunset into the ocean while feeling the late afternoon sun on his face.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks donations be made to Sea Legacy (www.sealegacy.org/donate), a charity that aims to conserve the world’s oceans and believes that producing powerful media and art that gives people hope is imperative.  Al would enjoy seeing people inspired to preserve his beloved beaches and wildlife through photography and film.  Or please donate to another wildlife preservation charity.

To honor Al, the family will hold a “Celebration of Life” in the coming months to remember Al’s impact and share happy memories with those who loved him.
