Wayne D. Ehlers

Wayne D. Ehlers, 68 of Punta Gorda passed away August 26, 2009. He was born March 11, 1941 in Jersey City, New Jersey. Wayne was a school teacher in Manchester Township, NJ before retiring. He moved to Punta Gorda in 1999 from New Jersey and was a member of the Punta Gorda Elks, and Fishers of Men Lutheran Church in Pine Island, FL. Wayne enjoyed gardening and traveling. He will be greatly missed by his wife of 46 years, Elaine; sons, Jeffrey (Jennifer) of Waretown, NJ, Kurt (Virginia) of Pinehurst, NC and Christopher (Michelle) of Charleston, SC; sister, Bonnie (Joe) Orocchi of Washington Township, NJ and eight grandchildren. The family will receive friends 2:00-4:00 pm Saturday, August 29, 2009 at Larry Taylor Funeral and Cremation Services with the celebration of Wayne's life following at 4:00 pm.
