Vance G. Herbener

Vance G. Herbener, 44, of Port Charlotte passed away May 24, 2008. He was the son of Vernon C. and Claudette (Luchetti) Herbener, born February 5, 1964 in Elgin, IL. Vance came to this area in 1992 from Elgin and worked as a self-employed truck driver; he enjoyed cooking and was a member of St. Maximillian Kolbe Catholic Church. Vance will be greatly missed by his wife of 8 years, Myrna; son, Vance of Port Charlotte; step-son, Dexter of Port Charlotte; father Vernon Herbener of Port Charlotte; brother, Vernon (Kathy) Herbener of Roselle, IL; sisters, Vanessa (Jerry) Lopatka of Winfield, IL, Valerie (Gerry) Heine of Springboro, OH and Victoria (Mike) Loperena of Lake Zurich, IL. He was preceded in death by his mother, Claudette Herbener. The service in celebration of Vance's life will be at 10:00 am Wednesday, May 28 at St. Maximillian Kolbe Catholic Church. Visitation will be 4:00 - 6:00 pm Wednesday, May 28 at Larry Taylor Funeral and Cremation Services, Punta Gorda. To express condolences to the family, please sign the online guest book.
