Valerie M. Conrad

Valerie M. Conrad, 78, of Port Charlotte passed away June 7, 2010. She was the daughter of William G. and Olive (Sanagan) Stockford, born June 1, 1932 in Canada. As a young woman, Valerie worked as a lab tech in a doctor's office. She lived in Sebring and Key Largo before coming to Port Charlotte. Valerie and her husband, Frank, enjoyed traveling together for many years visiting 59 countries and 5 continents. She enjoyed eating out and having evening cocktails. Valerie will be greatly missed by her grandchildren, Michael Norris, Leeshawn Norris, Lewshane Hall, and Dapphney Lowe; great-grandchildren, Kenny (Rachel) Lowe, Brandy Lowe, Lee Norris, Sarah Norris, Miles Hambley, James Hambley, Alysia Revilla-Norris, Dawson Hall, Walker Hall, Maylin Hall, and Laynie Hall; great-great-grandchild, Brandyn Lee Riveria; niece, Pamela Stockford Carter; nephews, Charles Edward Stockford, William Gordon Stockford, Robert Michael Stockford, and Brian Morris Stockford; and numerous great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband of 38 years, Frank Conrad, and brother and sister-in-law, Bill and Anita Stockford and Charles Stockford. The service in celebration of Valerie's life will be at 3:00 pm Monday, June 14, 2010 at Larry Taylor Funeral and Cremation Services.
