Theodore H. Kellermann

Theodore (Ted) Kellermann, 85, of Venice, Florida passed away on May 11, 2021, with family by his side.  He was born to Ernest and Harriet (Townsend) Kellermann on July 17, 1935, in Traverse City, Michigan.  Ted graduated from St. John's High School and received a Bachelor's of Science in Civil Engineering from Michigan State University. 

Ted is survived by four children: Kim (Darlene), Kevin (Jodi), Kristin (Mark), and Dominic (Amy); two brothers: Fritz (Jackie) and Lanny (Joan); one sister Shary.  He is also survived by seven grandchildren and one great-grandchild.  He was preceded in death by his parents and his sister, Sara. 

He served two years in the Army.  He started working for the Michigan Department of Transportation upon graduation until his retirement in 1996.  After retirement, he became a resident of Nokomis, Florida spending his summers in Michigan.  Ted enjoyed fishing, was an avid golfer, and watching any sporting event with a cold martini. 

In lieu of flowers, a donation to a charity of the Individual's choice is encouraged. No services are planned.  The family will have a private ceremony.
