“This is to announce to this community, family and friends that Theodore (Ted) A. Brown finished his assignment here on this earth on Sunday May 27th. Ted Brown always looked forward to church each Sunday and May 27th became Ted’s BEST Sunday ever as he crossed over into the presence of the Lord. If you are one of the many who look forward each year to the Ted Brown Christmas letter, you will not receive one this year from him because he will be spending Christmas 2007 in Heaven! He would love to cordially invite you to join him in heaven when your assignment on this earth is also completed. You can join him by accepting Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior. You can be sure that he will be looking for you.” Theodore A. Brown , 92, of Port Charlotte, FL died May 27, 2007. He was born January 19, 1915 in New York, NY to the late Frank and Lillian (Arras) Brown. Ted’s was a retired educator whose career spanned 30 years beginning as a Physical Education teacher and coach and ending as a Guidance counselor . Ted moved to this area in 1991 after wintering since 1977. He was a member of Maranatha Fellowship in Port Charlotte and had been a member of Christian Faith Fellowship in NY. Ted was active working with Prison Fellowship, Bill Glass Prison Ministries and served as a phone counselor for TBN. Ted’s great sense of humor and stories will be missed by all who knew him. Ted will be greatly missed by his son Russ (Debbie) Brown of Port Charlotte, FL; daughter Karen Malloy of Wallkill, NY; 6 Grandchildren and 6 Great Grandchildren. He was predeceased by his wife of 56 years Muriel, son Paul and sister Evelyn Souhrada. The family will receive friends from 6:00 - 7:00 pm Tuesday at Larry Taylor Funeral and Cremation Services in Punta Gorda with the service to follow at 7:00 pm. Burial will be in Walden, NY.
