Ted Ray Mcpherson

Ted Ray McPherson, 72, of Punta Gorda passed away January 9, 2006. He was born June 20, 1934 to Willie Black and Pauline (Gladden) McPherson. Ted was a member of the Punta Gorda Elks #2606, Moose Lodge #2121, Punta Gorda Isles Civic Association. He was a commander with Toledo Yacht Club and Power Squadron and a Trustee in 1983. Ted was an avid boatmen, fisherman and golfer. He will be remembered as a real family man and a great grandpa. He will be greatly missed by his wife of 14 years, Denise J. Barnett-McPherson; son, Steve McPherson; daughters, Debbie (Keith) Ducket, Jillian Hines and Dianna Charles; grandchildren Jennifer, Lindsey, Sarah, Alex, Joshua and Gabriella; sisters, Helen Longlott and Doris Utt; brother, Tom McPherson; sister-in-law, Becky Underwood Poseler and brother-in-law, Ronald Underwood. Ted was preceded in death by his first wife Carol Underwood McPherson. The family will receive friends 2:00 - 4:00 pm and 6:00 - 8:00 pm, Thursday, January 11 at Larry Taylor Funeral and Cremation Services Punta Gorda Chapel. A celebration of Ted’s life will be 10:00 am, Friday, January 12 at the Punta Gorda Chapel of Larry Taylor Funeral and Cremation Services.
