Sylvia A. Duggan

Sylvia A. Duggan, 91, of Punta Gorda, FL passed away Sunday, May 26, 2013. She was one of thirteen children of Matt and Hulda (nee Matkitalo) Koski, born February 20, 1922 in Blueberry Township, MN. Sylvia, a career bookkeeper, was proud to say she was one of the original employees for Delta Dental Insurance Company and moved to this area from Minneapolis, MN in 2001. She enjoyed gardening and playing cards. She was an excellent seamstress and known for her knitted afghans, of which over 50 were made for friends and family. Sylvia will be remembered as a outgoing person with many friends in her Buttonwood Village Community and most important to her was spending time with her family. Sylvia will be greatly missed by her daughter, Sharlene Duggan; son, James (Claudia) Duggan and nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband of 48 years, Allen; parents and brothers and sisters. A memorial service to celebrate Sylvia's life will be held 11:00 am on Thursday, June 6 at Larry Taylor Funeral and Cremation Services.
