Susan M. Mansfield

Susan Marie Mansfield, 58, of Port Charlotte passed away Saturday, March 10, 2007. Born April 22, 1948 in Litchfield, MN to Vernon and Darlyne Engelson. Susan graduated from Litchfield High School in 1966 and attended college in Mankato, Minnesota and Evansville, Indiana. January 28, 2001 Susan married ‘Bobby’ Mansfield. Her love for her husband was reinforced by several wedding ceremonials. They were best friends and soul mates. She was a member of Pt. Charlotte V.F.W. Ladies Auxiliary, Fraternal Order of Eagles, American Legion Post Ladies Auxiliary, La Femmes 40/8 and Elks Club Ladies Auxiliary. Her joys in life were her grandchildren and spending time with the love of her life, Bobby. She enjoyed cooking special meals for her children, playing bingo and coordinating fund raisers for those in need. Susan will be greatly missed by her husband, Bobby; son, Douglas (Tonya) Pearson of Las Vegas, NV; daughter, Sarah Fleck of Port Charlotte; father, Vernon Engelson of Virginia, MN, son-in-law, Bill Mansfield of Ft. Lauderdale, FL; brother-in-law Art Benz of Port Charlotte; daughter-in-law, Robin Mansfield of Vail, CO; sister, Peggy (Louis) Longhenry of Carver, MN; brother Scott Engelson of Henderson, NV; grandchildren, Erica Fleck, Makenzie Pearson, Sydney Pearson, Anthony Mansfield; nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her mother Darlyne Engelson and a sister Sally Engelson. A memorial services will be 2:00 pm, Thursday, March 15, 2007 at the Punta Gorda Chapel of Larry Taylor Funeral and Cremation Services.
