Sanford S. Howard

Sanford "Buddy" Howard, 63, of Punta Gorda, FL passed away July 18, 2008 at his home. He was born January 30, 1945 in Orlando, FL to Sanford and Helen (Charlton) Howard. Buddy moved to Charlotte County with his family in 1998 from Honolulu, Hawaii. He graduated from Jones High School in Orlando in 1962. Buddy served in the US Air Force as a Captain during the Vietnam War. He worked as pilot for Continental Airlines and retired as a Captain after 29 years. Buddy was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church and a 4th degree Knight of Columbus. He will be greatly missed by his devoted wife, Inez, sons, Sanford of Magnolia, TX and Kenneth(Jilma) of Punta Gorda, FL; daughters, Kieu-Van Coleman of Spring, TX and Mauria Howard of Houston, TX; sisters, Joyce (Markus) Rowland of Atlanta, GA, Brenda (Eric) Bachelor and Marion Henson both of Orlando, FL; brothers, Ronald (Rita) Howard and Gerald (Cathy) Howard; uncle, Huey (Charlestina) Charlton of Atlanta, GA; grandsons, Jonathan, Joseph, Jalen, Joshua and Jordan; granddaughter, Jilma and numerous nieces, nephews and friends. The family will receive friends 2:00 - to 4:00 pm, Wednesday, July 23, 2008 at Larry Taylor Funeral and Cremation Services. A mass will be at 11:00 am, Thursday, July 24, 2008 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Punta Gorda. Burial will be at 1:00 pm, Friday, July 25, 2008 at Greenwood Cemetery in Orlando, FL.
