Robert Lee Marchert, Sr.

Robert Lee Marchert, Sr., 81, of Punta Gorda, FL formerly of Oak Forest, IL passed away October 29, 2014. He was the son of Frederick and Norma Marchert, born May 6, 1933 in Chicago, IL. Robert served in the US Marine Corps during the Korean War. He was a Shipping Foreman for Mead Container and retired after 38 years of service. Robert enjoyed traveling the United States in a small motor home and visiting historical sites, national parks and his children. He enjoyed spending time with his family which was first and foremost in his life. Robert will be greatly missed by his wife of 56 years, Judy; daughters, Susan (Kent) LeFevre, Sheryl (Matthew) Klebenow; sons, Robert L. Jr. (Dawn) Marchert, Roy F. (Diane) Marchert; brothers, Joseph and James; 11 grandchildren and 1 great-grandchild. He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Fred and sister, Norma Taft. A memorial service will be held at 12:30 pm, Friday, November 14, 2014 at Yorkville Congregational United Church of Christ, Yorkville, IL. Memorial donations may be made to FivePminus.org/support.
