Robert J. Kneebone, Jr.

Robert John "Bobby" Kneebone, Jr., 55, of Port Charlotte, FL left our lives after a brief illness at his home on January 20, 2017. He was born March 6, 1961 in Detroit, MI to Margaret and Robert Kneebone, Sr. Bobby was a light to everyone who knew him. Incredibly smart, funny, full of life and with a warmth and sense of caring that made people want to be near him. He would stop and chat with anyone, making that person feel they had a new friend. He built and maintained swimming pools in Port Charlotte and surrounding areas for over 30 years, running Michigan Pools and Spas. He was an artist with tile work, could fix anything, build everything and always made it beautiful. His customers were like family to him. His passion was fishing, and spending time with his family. He was a great cook and loved to create amazing meals for family and friends. Bobby will be deeply missed by his mothers, Margaret J. (Lynette Warnars) Kneebone of Sarasota; father, Robert J. Kneebone of Punta Gorda; best friend and brother, James Kneebone of Harpswell, ME; loving sister, Lynn Kneebone of Sarasota; his amazing and loving children, Robert J. (Meghan) Kneebone III of Ft. Myers, Derek M. Kneebone of Melbourne, Adrienne (Andrew) Eason of Lakeland and Terrell Robinson to whom he was a father and mentor; best friend and loving partner, Lorraine Robinson of Lehigh Acres; nieces, Elizabeth and Grace Kneebone admired and loved him deeply; new grandson, Alec ; granddaughter, Jasmine; aunts, Barbara Kneebone, Nancy Tuley and Deborah Cheaney of MI; cousins, Brett Cheaney, Rita Green, Debbie Tuley and Pam Tuley all of Michigan. A funeral mass will be held at 11am, Saturday, January 28, 2017 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church.
