Rita P. Slayton

Rita Slayton, 73, of Punta Gorda formerly of Lake of the Ozarks, MO passed away Friday, January 8, 2016. She was the daughter of William and Emma Summey, born October 16, 1942 in Beardstown, IL. Rita was active in a bridge group, gardening clubs, golf and traveled extensively over the past 5 years. She met and had many wonderful friends in Lake of the Ozarks, Bonita Springs and Punta Gorda. Rita will be greatly missed by her son, Kevin (Elena) McClelland; brothers, Randy, Bill and Mike Summey and grandson, Andrew and her beloved dog, Sweetie. She was preceded in death by husbands, William McClelland and John Slayton. A celebration of Rita's life will be held at a later date. Memorial donations may be made to American Heart Association.
