Rita G. Bowers

Rita G. Bowers, 77, of Punta Gorda, FL, formerly of Redding, CT passed away April 8, 2016. She was the daughter of Vance and Edith Eckard, born March 11, 1939 in Conover, NC. Rita was a retired realtor. She was a member of St. Andrews Lutheran Church, Ridgefield, CT and Church of the Good Shepherd, Punta Gorda, FL. Rita will be greatly missed by her husband of 55 years, Charles R. Bowers; son, Stan Bowers of Blowing Rock, NC and Punta Gorda, FL; brother, Archie (Faith) Eckard of Taylorsville, NC and grandchildren, Alex, Chad and Caroline Bowers. She was preceded in death by her parents and son, Charles R. Bowers, II. A celebration of Rita's life will be held at 11am, Friday, April 22, 2016 at the Church of the Good Shepherd, Punta Gorda, FL.
