Richard Lee Sternal

Richard L. "Dick" Sternal, 78, of Punta Gorda passed away Saturday, January 11, 2014. He was born February 26, 1935 in Duluth, MN., the son of Louis and Irene Sternal. Rich graduated from Denfeld High School, the class of 1953. He worked in the Duluth area for a number of years in building construction and sales. The family moved to Punta Gorda in 1969. In 1985, Rich married Ilene Lee and he continued working in the building construction sales industry until his retirement in 2005. He loved the outdoors, hunting, fishing and boating. Rich will be greatly missed by his wife of 28 years, Ilene; daughter, Kim Sternal of Punta Gorda; sisters, Diane Boggess of Ft. Ogden and Bonnie Melander (Donald) and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and brother in law, Bill Boggess. A gathering of family and friends will be held on Saturday, January 18, 2014 from Noon to 2pm at Hathway Park pavilion, 35461 Washington Loop Road, Punta Gorda, FL.
