Richard E. Saxton

Richard E. Saxton, 77, of Port Charlotte passed away May 25, 2008. He was born March 17, 1931 in Brooklyn, New York to Samuel and Henrietta (Kotlaba) Saxton. Richard served as a Sargeant in the US Marine Corps during the Korean Conflict. He worked as a computer programer and systems analysis in the banking industry. Richard moved from Staten Island, New York to Port Charlotte in 1986 and worked for 20 years at the Port Charlotte Days Inn as a Night Auditor. Richard was a member of the Marine Corp League #756, VFW Post 5690 and American Legion Post 103. He was a member of San Antonio Catholic Church. Richard will be greatly missed by his wife of 53 years, Adele; daughters, Therese M. Saxton of Staten Island, Karen (Frank) Salvaggio of Hazlet, NJ and Nancy A Saxton of Port Charlotte; son, Raymond (Susan) Saxton of Staten Island, NY; grandchildren, Frank and Jessica. A memorial mass will be 2:00 pm, Friday, May 30, 2008 at San Antonio Catholic Church.
