Richard Atlee Taylor

Richard A. Taylor, 67, of Port Charlotte formerly of Fort Myers, FL passed away June 21, 2010. He was the son of Atlee and Irene (Williams) Taylor, born January 30, 1943 in Dayton, Ohio. Richard served in the USAF during the Vietnam era. He was the owner of Fresh Cut Lawn Service and worked in the construction industry in Charlotte Co for many years. Richard was a member of Freedom Bible Church and enjoyed golf, fishing and loved the Florida Gators. He will be greatly missed by his wife of 47 years, Nancy, daughter, Tonya Rae Major; son, Rodney A. (Stephanie) both of Port Charlotte; sisters Sharon (Dick) Potts of Hilton Head, SC and Sandy (Ray) Coy of Ohio; grandkids, Candice, Christina, Chassity, Amber, Brianna, Shaelyn, Trea and Chase; two great-grandchildren. Richard was preceded in death by granddaughter, Ashlea. A memorial service will be at 7:00 pm, Thursday, June 24, 2010 at Freedom Bible Church, Port Charlotte.
