Raymond G. Stagliano

Raymond Stagliano, 61, of Punta Gorda passed away December 10, 2008 after a long and hard fought 7 year battle with cancer. Son of George and Edna (Wright) Stagliano, he was born October 27, 1947 in New York. Ray was a multi-talented and creative entrepreneur whose ventures ranged from constructing multiple homes, owning a night club, to breeding, raising, and racing horses. An avid golfer, Ray enjoyed competitive rounds with his daughter, Mellissa. Ray will be remembered for his dry sense of humor which he shared with Barbara his daughter. He was proud of and enjoyed watching his daughter, Jessica ride; he also enjoyed the time they spent in the stable with the horses. Ray will be greatly missed by his wife, local Realtor, Dianna; and daughters, Mellissa, Barbara, and Jessica Stagliano. The service in celebration of Ray's life will be held at 11:00 am Saturday, December 13, 2008 at the Punta Gorda Chapel of Larry Taylor Funeral and Cremation Services. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the family in care of the funeral home at 1515 Tamiami Trail, Punta Gorda, FL 33950 to assist with Ray's extensive medical expenses.
