Monroe Dan Stroecker

Monroe “Dan” Stroecker, 86, of Punta Gorda passed away February 4, 2007. He was born November 29, 1920 in Washington, DC to Monroe D.B. and Edna Stroecker. Dan served in the Navy during WWII on PT boats. He retired from General Motors Tech Center as Chief Design Engineer. Dan was a pilot and delivered mail from Punta Gorda to Tampa. He was a certified master scuba diver and enjoyed racing motorcycles and hydroplanes. He will be greatly missed by his wife, Edna Hart Stroecker of Punta Gorda; daughter, Danielle (Randy) Crawfis and grandson James Daniel (Shannon) Crawfis. Dan was preceded ind death by his first wife, Betty Jane Stroecker. A memorial service will be held at a later date. To express condolences to the family, please sign the online guest book.
