Mildred Gross

Mildred Gross, 89, of Beattyville, Kentucky, formerly of Port Charlotte, passed away May 11, 2008. She was born May 19, 1918 in Beattyville, Kentucky to Dillard and Josephine (Mitchell) Richardson. Mildred was a homemaker who took great joy in caring for her family and was a true example of being a lady. She loved Florida and moved to Port Charlotte in 1975, she also enjoyed going fishing. Mildred was a member of First Church of God. She will be greatly missed by her daughter, Betty Ruth Crabtree, son, Bobby J. Gross; sisters, Iola Angel, Laura Jones and Norma York; three grandchildren, 7 great-grandchildren and 6 great-great grandchildren. Mildred was preceded in death by her husband of 70 years, Arkansas "Ken" Gross; brothers, Douglas Richardson and Cecil Richardson; and grandson Keith Gross. The family will receive friends 1:00 - 2:00 pm, Wednesday, May 14, 2008 with a celebration of Mildred's life to follow at 2:00 pm at Larry Taylor Funeral and Cremation Services.
