Mary Courtney Riggs

Mary Courtney Riggs, 63, of North Port passed away June 13, 2010. She was born July, 26th 1946 in Washington, DC. Mary moved with her family to Port Charlotte in July of 1960. She graduated from Charlotte High School in 1964 and then went on to work for First Federal for 20 years and Charlotte County for 21 years. She graduated from the Savings Loan and completed many Dell Carnegie courses. Mary will be remember as a sweet, kind, loving person who accepted everyone as they are. She loved spending her time with her family especially her children, who were her world. She will be greatly missed by her adored husband of 31 years, John; sons: Johnny, James, daughter Courtney; and 3 grandchildren. The family will receive friends 5:00 to 7:00 pm, Wednesday, June 16, 2010 at Larry Taylor Funeral and Cremation Service. A service in celebration of Mary's life will be at 10:00am, Thursday, June 17, 2010 at New Day Christian Church with the burial and reception to follow.
