Martin A. Pardo

Martin (Marty) Andrew Pardo, aged 56, entered the Kingdom of Heaven on September 10th, 2014, at Fawcett Memorial Hospital, Port Charlotte, Florida. He was born November 16th, 1957, in Defiance, Ohio, to Antonio (Tony) Pardo (deceased) and Beverly (Davis) Pardo-DeLeon (Gonzalo) Punta Gorda, FL. Marty was a graduate of Defiance High School and The Ohio State University. He worked for The Defiance Crescent News as a photo-journalist and writer for many years and also operated a photography studio before relocating to Columbus, OH, and eventually to Punta Gorda, FL. Marty had a life-long passion for photography and enjoyed sharing his photos with family and friends. He loved fishing and the outdoors. He spent many hours volunteering and helping others less fortunate. He attended the Broad Street United Methodist Church and volunteered at their soup kitchen at the homeless shelter. He knew and accepted the Lord as his Savior. He is survived by a daughter, Robin Lantz (Josh) of Toledo, OH, a son, Anthony Pardo of Defiance, OH, and by grand-daughter, Adena Lantz, Toldeo, OH. He will be greatly missed by brothers Marc Pardo (Terri) of Punta Gorda, FL, and Dave Pardo (Mariella) of Defiance and sisters Marcia Hearn (James) of Wapakoneta, OH and Teresa Guillaume (Kenneth) of The Villages, FL., and nieces and nephews; Marco Pardo, Cody Pardo, David Pardo Jr., Allison Pardo, James Hearn Jr., Michael Bullock and Nicholas Bullock and other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his grand-parents, Howard and Evelyn Davis and by Juan and Antonia Pardo. A private memorial service will be held in Punta Gorda, Florida at a later date.
