Lorraine H. Luterotty

Lorraine Helen Luterotty, 64, of Port Charlotte, passed away peacefully at home Tuesday morning, August 21, 2007. She was born September 24, 1942 in Nanticoke, Pa. She was one of nine children born to John and Stella Sadowski. After graduating Nanticoke High School, she worked for a local cigar factory. She moved to Princeton, N.J. to be a secretary at the Princeton Inn. She later worked at a Machinist's Union office in Philadelphia, where she met her future husband, Samuel A. Luterotty, Sr. They married in 1977 in Maple Shade, N.J. She moved with him to Port Charlotte in 1991. They had one child, a son. She was a generous and loving mother. She was 'Nana' to her two grand-daughters, Summer and Hannah. She loved them so very much, and made sure they felt it. They made her very happy. They will miss her. Bye, Nana.She was best friend to her Daughter-in-law, Tanya. Tanya took great care of her, and was always there for her.Lorraine loved gardening and having people enjoy the plants and vegetables she grew. She loved 'yard-sailing' and browsing the local consignment shops for cute items for her home. She loved animals, and had well-loved pets.Locally, Lorraine was known by the customers at Murdock Produce and Joe's Produce on Toledo Blade Blvd. She also loved the CB radio, where she was known as 'Someday'. She will be greatly missed by her son, Samuel, Jr.; her grand-daughters, Summer and Hannah; her sister, Linda; and her brothers, Ronald, Roger, and Billy; and many good friends. She was preceded in death by her husband. A casual Memorial gathering will be held at 6 p.m. Saturday, September 8th, 2007, at Cleveland Baptist Church, 6600 Cleveland Drive, Punta Gorda, FL 33982. All who knew her are welcome. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial donations be made to Meals-on-Wheels of Charlotte County, 3082 Tamiami Trail, Port Charlotte, Florida, 33952.
