Lawrence W. Skay

Lawrence "Larry" William Skay, 64 of Port Charlotte, FL passed away peacefully on February 4, 2016 at his home. He was born February 4, 1952 in Rahway, New Jersey to Harold and Louise Skay. Larry grew up in Old Bridge, New Jersey until 1969 and then the family moved to Port Charlotte. After graduating from Charlotte High School in 1970, he enlisted into the United States Army and served honorably until 1978. Upon his return to Port Charlotte he was employed with United Parcel Service until his retirement in late 2013. Larry will be greatly missed by his mother, Louise M. Skay of Las Vegas, NV; sisters, Rosemary Donato of NV, Kathleen Patterson of FL and Linda (Dean) Lang of NC; nephews and nieces, Michael Donato of NJ, Cassandra Patterson of CO, Christopher Cobb of FL and Chloe and Jessica Lang of NC and numerous other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his wife of over 20 years, Cynthia Skay; father, Harold F. Skay and brother, Harold F. Skay, Jr. Inurnment will be at 10am, Monday, April 18, 2016 at Royal Palm Memorial Gardens, Punta Gorda.
