Larry L. Strother

Larry L. Strother, 76, of Punta Gorda passed away Tuesday, February 9, 2010. He was the son of Homer and Boneva (Brubaker) Strother, born November 5, 1933 in Ironton, OH. Larry served in the US Navy Air-Sea Rescue Unit during the Korean War. He retired from Ashland Oil after 33 years of service throughout the mid-west. With fond memories of having lived and starting school in Punta Gorda, he and his wife, Lois, retired to Punta Gorda in 2001 and were members of Burnt Store Presbyterian Church. Larry will be greatly missed by his wife of 51 years, Lois; daughter, Michelle (Mark) Godair; sons, Michael (Angie), Mark, and Thomas Strother; grandchildren, Mickey, Steven, and Matthew Strother, Melissa (Dale) Stroede, Scott (Susan) Godair, Caleb, Breanna, and Cole Strother; and great-granddaughters, Katie and Alyson Stroede and Adelynne Strother. Memorial donations in Larry's memory may be made to a charity of choice. To express condolences to the family, please sign the online guest book.
