Lamont E. Nichols

Lamont Nichols, 94, of Punta Gorda, formerly of Lutz, FL passed away Sunday, February 2, 2014. He was born November 1, 1919 in Ravenswood, WV. Lamont served in the US Army during WWII and was a member of Christ Cumberland Presbyterian Church, Lutz. Lamont will be greatly missed by his sons, Edward "Nick" Nichols and Marvin Nichols; brother Clarence "Jr."; sister, Sara Morton; 4 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren and 3 great-great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife, Mary L. Nichols. A visitation will be held 5 to 6pm, Friday, February 7, 2014 at Larry Taylor Funeral and Cremation Services with a service to celebrate Lamont's life to follow at 6pm. Burial will be on Saturday, February 8, 2014 at 1pm at Hillsboro Memorial Cemetery, Brandon, FL.
