Julia A. Farquharson

Julia A. Farquharson, 63, of Punta Gorda passed peacefully on Monday, August 12, 2019. She was born April 18, 1956 to Kenneth and Carole Bornsheuer in Chillicothe, IL.

Julia served her local community as a valued teacher for over 30 years. She was a member of the National Education Association and was very active within the educational system. Julia was known to receive letters of gratitude over her years from students and she cherished every one of them. She was often found in her yard, gardening or simply enjoying nature. Julia was an avid Cubs fan and loved to watch soccer. She was a loving and giving individual that will be missed and remembered by many.

Julia will be deeply missed by her daughter Jenny (Floyd) Wombacher; son Paul (Stefanie) Farquharson; brother Mike Bornsheuer; 4 grandchildren Chloe, Charlie, Eva and Beck; and many nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her parents; sister Debbie Deyo and her husband of 22 years Robert.
A gathering will be held on August 16, 2019 at Larry Taylor Funeral and Cremation, 1515 Tamiami Trail, Punta Gorda, FL. The family will receive friends at a visitation from 3-4:00 pm, followed by a service at 4:00pm.
