Judith K Briggs

Judith K. "Judie" Briggs, 70, of Punta Gorda passed away July 20, 2014. She was the daughter of Henry and Betty (Gibson) Ellis, born May 29, 1944 in Danville, IL. Judie led an active life, enjoying stock car racing, participating in Revolutionary War reenactments, and boating on the Peace River. She treasured time spent with her grandchildren, and was all smiles when spending time with the great-grandchildren. Her plants and flowers were like kids to her, as she always nurtured them. Judie will be greatly missed by her fianc of 15 years, James Norton; daughter, Beth (D. G.) Washkowiak; son, Brian (Cindy) Carnaghi; brother, Derald Ellis; grandchildren, Sara (Brandon) Crawford, Ryan Washkowiak, Tim Norton, Marc Norton, Natasha Vrablic, and Dalton Trinble; great-grandchildren, Lindsey Norton, T. J. Norton, Chase and Chance Crawford, and Avayah. She was preceded in death by her parents and sister, Sharon Jones. A memorial service will be held at 1:00 PM on Sunday, July 27, 2014 at Harbor Heights Park. To express condolences to the family, please sign the online guest book.
