Judith C. Flory

Judith C. ”Judy” Flory, 63, of North Port passed away October 25, 2007. She was born December 20, 1943 in Dayton, KY to Elwood S and Hazel (Hunter) Crews. Judy received degrees from the University of Cincinnati and Northern Kentucky University and worked as a Registered Nurse. She certified in critical care nursing and her last twelve years were in nursing as a cardiovascular catherization lab and special procedures. Judy moved to North Port in December of 2003. She was a musician who served as a church organist at Highland Hills Baptist Church in Fort Thomas, KY for over 40 years. Judy will be greatly missed by her loving husband of 44 years, Don; son, Brent (Melany) and daughter, Kristen. She was preceded in death by her parents and brother Elwood S. Crews, Jr., who served with high honors as a Marine in the Korean War where he was killed in action and was interned in Arlington National Cemetery. A memorial service will be held at 5:00 pm, Tuesday, October 30, 2007 at First Baptist Church in Port Charlotte with Pastor Jim McCarty officiating. Interment will be at Florida National Cemetery in Bushnell, FL.
