Joseph M. Leonard

Joseph "Mickey" Leonard, 81, resident of Heron's Glen of N. Ft. Myers, FL and former longtime resident of Worth, IL at peace Sunday October 16, 2016 at his home. He was born August 2, 1935, in Chicago, IL, the son of Joseph and Exilda Leonard. Mickey was a loving husband and father. Before retirement he enjoyed being a Chicago Fireman and later a Teamsters Union truck driver for Standard Cartage. He greatly enjoyed helping people and being the community handy man. Mickey will be greatly missed by daughter, Lori (Fred) Guerra and grandchildren, Rachel Unger and Adam and Heather Kuipers along with many relatives and dear friends. He was preceded in death by his wife Carol of 47 years, and daughter, Lisa Kuipers. A memorial mass will be held at 11am, Friday, October 21, 2016 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church.
