Jose Vega

Jose "Joey" Vega, 43, of Punta Gorda passed away suddenly on Thursday, Nov. 28, 2013. He was born August 19, 1970 in Queens, New York and grew up in Miami, FL. He will be remembered for living each day with a warm smile, great personality and a big heart who lived life to its fullest. Joey was a loving husband and proud daddy to his girls. He worked as a salesman for Palm Chevy/Buick and GMC. Joey will be greatly missed by his loving wife, Jennifer; daughters, Alexandra Lee (age 9) and Samantha Grace (age 4); sisters, Maria Bao and Regla (Jorge) Bejel; in-laws, Tom and Sandy Mays; numerous nieces, nephews and close friends. He was preceded in death by his parents Luis and Angela, and his brother, Luis A service to celebrate Joey's life will be held at 10:30am, Friday, December 6, 2013 at Burnt Store Presbyterian Church.
