John W. Finegan, Jr.

John W. Finegan, Jr., 83, of Punta Gorda, FL formerly of Pawcatuck, CT passed away September 3, 2015. He was the son of Catherine and John W. Finegan, born December 11, 1931. John worked in mechanical design at General Dynamics, Groton, CT for 21 years; retired from Davis Standard, Pawcatuck, CT 20 years; Coast Guard Reserves for 20 years. He was a member of Masonic Lodge, Lions Club and volunteered at the Military Heritage Museum for 7 years. John will be greatly missed by his loving wife of 62 years, Barbara; children, John Finegan, James (Theresa) Finegan, Patricia (James) Fink, Susan (James) Norman, Steven (Lucrezia) Finegan; grandchildren, Alec, Lindsay, Alicia, Christopher and Brooke. He was preceded in death by his granddaughter, Kali. Services are private. Donations may be made to the Military Heritage Museum, Fishermen's Village, 1200 West Retta Esplanade, Punta Gorda, FL 33950 in his memory.
