John W. Eddleton

John W. Eddleton, 84, of Punta Gorda formerly of Nantucket, MA passed away December 15, 2007. He was born November 15, 1923 in Richmond, VA to John and Annie (Walton) Eddleton. John served in the US Navy during WWII and was the previous owner of Eddletons Guest House in Nantucket, MA. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge of Nantucket, the Shriners and the American Legion in Port Charlotte. John was of the Baptist faith and moved to Punta Gorda from Nantucket, MA in 1973. John will be greatly missed by his daughter and son-in-law, Wendy and Jimmie Hilts of Nantucket, MA; granddaughters, Amanda (Hilts) Tejada and Allison (Hilts) Avery and their husbands, all of Nantucket; great-grandchildren, Liana Hilts and Jonathan Tejada both of Nantucket; companion Irene Sobotka and her family. He was preceded in death by his wife, Mary McMillian Eddleton and his sister, Lillian Lacy of Richmond, VA. No services are planned at this time.
