John H. Young

John H. Young, 89, of Arcadia, FL passed away on April 25, 2021. He was born on July 22, 1931, to E.B. and Lois Young in Arcadia, FL.  John honorably served in the United States Air Force from 1948 to 1952 and the Marine Corps from 1954 to 1969 retiring as a First Sergeant.  After serving his country, he worked as a Corrections Officer for the State of Florida and the Sheriff’s Department from 1971 to 1984.  He was a member of the Elks Lodge in Arcadia, FL.  John loved spending time on and beside the water, freshwater fishing with his family and friends. 

John will be deeply missed by his sons Jimmy Young and Mike (Debbie) Young; sister Carolyn Young Moncrief; his 4 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren.
