John F. Wrage

John F. Wrage, 74, of Punta Gorda passed away November 9, 2008. He was born September 30, 1934 in Germany to Adolf and Marta (Ruehmann) Wrage. John was a retired painter/decorator and moved from Round Lake, IL to Punta Gorda in 1997. He was a member of the German American Club, Antioch, IL, former V.P. for the Painters Decorators Union Local 275, Chicago, IL, German American Club, Cape Coral, FL, Flight Instructor at Campbell Airport, Grayslake, IL, Assistant Boy Scout Leader, Volunteer Police Auxiliary, Punta Gorda and a Coast Guard Auxiliary Spotter. John was a member of the Congregational United Church of Christ, Punta Gorda. John will be greatly missed by his wife of 54 years, Christel; daughter, Margriat (Tim) Murphy of Machesney Park, IL; son, Ehlert (Carrie) Wrage of Rockton, IL; four grandchildren. A memorial service in celebration of John's life will be at 11:00 am, Friday, November 14, 2008 at Larry Taylor Funeral and Cremation Service with Rev. Bill Klossner.
