John Anthony D'Erasmo

John Anthony D'Erasmo, 87, of North Port passed away July 4, 2008 after a long illness. He was the son of Anthony and Annina Maria (Cassano) D'Erasmo, born April 16, 1921 in Brooklyn, NY. John served in the US Navy. He lived in Buffalo, NY where he raised his family from a previous marriage, and worked for the General Motors Chevrolet plant in Tonawanda, NY. He and his wife, Edie, moved to Florida 22 years ago. He enjoyed living at La Casa in North Port and taking part in "A Special Time" Positive Aging Group where he made many friends. John will be greatly missed by his wife of 24 years, Edie Ayers D'Erasmo; daughters, Catherine D'Erasmo, Roseanne (Michael) Script, Maureen Ainslie, Mary Ellen (Barry) Martin, Anne Marie (Kelly) Otto; step-daughter, June Beaver Cimino; grandchildren, Michelle and Matthew Script, Conor, Clare and Maggie Martin, and Catherine and Daniel Otto; step-grandchildren, Sara and Christopher Cimino; sister, Frances Guido and many friends. The memorial service in celebration of John' life will be at 11:00 am Monday, August 11, 2008 at San Pedro Catholic Church, North Port, FL.
