John A. Drexler

John A. Drexler, 88, of Port Charlotte passed away Monday, September 13, 2010. He was the son of John and Cecelia (Oehm) Drexler, born August 27, 1922 in Leasdale, PA. John graduated from Scott Twp High School in 1940 and served in the US Army during D-Day. John work at Bell of PA and retired after 43 years on December 1983. He was an active member of Tel Pioneering, Colony Council he served as President, and as President of Ft Pitt Chapters and member of the Collier Twp Sportsman Club. John will be greatly missed by his devoted wife of 14 years, Jean Houston Roche Drexler; son, Jack Drexler, Jr of Corvallis, OR; daughter, Barbara Drexler of Bridgeville, PA; brother, Joseph Drexler of Oh; 2 stepdaughters and 4 step grandchildren and 6 step great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents and sister Cecilia . The family will receive friends 2:00 to 4:00 pm, Thursday, September 16, 2010 at Larry Taylor Funeral and Cremation Services.
