Jerry John Cotoni, Jr.

Jerry John Cotoni, Jr., 85, of Punta Gorda passed away May 4, 2015. He was born April 23, 1930 in Watertown, MA. Jerry served in Korea in the US Army. He worked for GCA and International Shoe before retiring. He was a member of the American Legion in Boston and VFW in Ft Myers. He moved to Punta Gorda from Chelmsford, MA in 1992, and belonged to Sacred Heart Catholic Church. He enjoyed playing golf with friends, and was known as a "Jack of all trades." Jerry will be greatly missed by his wife of 60 years, Barbara; daughter, Cynthia Cotoni; son, Allen (Karen) Cotoni; sisters, Helen Kopischke, Lil Callahan, Irene (Robert) Harding, and Edith Cotoni; 6 grandchildren, and 5 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his daughter, Joan Anderson, and son, Jerry N. Cotoni. The family will receive friends 3:00-5:00 pm Monday, May 11, 2015 at Larry Taylor Funeral and Cremation Services. The service in celebration of Jerry's life will be at 11:00 am Tuesday, May 12 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church.
