Jeanette W. Fennell

Jeanette W. Fennell, 89, of Punta Gorda, FL passed away, Thuresday, April 17, 2014 at her home with her daughter, Sue by her side. She was born on April 24, 1924 in Waterloo, New York, the daughter of the late Henry R. and Iva Smith Wixom. Jeanette was a secretary for the Waterloo School District. She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church in Waterloo, the American Legion Auxiliary Post 435, Waterloo for 50+ years , and for 45 + years had enjoyed playing cards with her friends. Jeanette is survived by her daughter, Susan (Peter) Vacca of Punta Gorda, FL; sister-in-law, Dorothy Wixom of Waterloo; and grandchildren, Matthew (Cassandra) Vacca and Alia Vacca; great-granddaughter, Madison Vacca and her devoted caregiver for over 2 years, Maria Ramsey. She was predeceased by husband, Norbert Paul Fennell, whom she married in 1947; son, James Fennell and brother, Charles Wixom. A gathering of friends and family will be held on Wednesday, June 4, 2014 from 2:00 - 4:00 pm at Mull Funeral Home. Inurnment to follow at St. Mary's Cemetery, Waterloo.
