Jean J. Pokora

Jean Pokora, 88, of Port Charlotte passed away Saturday, Dec. 28, 2013. She was the daughter of Frank and Anna Bartow, born November 3, 1925 in Milwaukee, WI. Jean earned her Bachelor's in teaching from Dominican College, Racine, WI and taught school for many years in Oak Creek, WI. She married the love of her life, Gilbert Pokora in 1944 and moved to Port Charlotte in 1986 after retiring. Jean will be greatly missed by her son, Gregory (Gail) Pokora; sister-in-law, Arlene (Richard) Lesniewski and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband of 68 years, Gilbert; a brother; two sisters; a sister-in-law and a brother-in-law. As per Jean's wishes no service is planned.
