Janie E. Jacobs Menke

Janie E. Jacobs Menke, 55, of Punta Gorda, formerly from Vermont passed away Sunday, December 7, 2014. She was born April 2, 1959 in Springfield, MA. Janie was a retired Certified Nursing Assistant and enjoyed sewing for her family. Janie will be greatly missed by her daughter, Jessica Jacobs (Justin Harris) of Port Charlotte; sons, D.J. Jacobs of North Port and Josh Jacobs of Port Charlotte; significant other, Scott Burget of Port Charlotte; brother, Jimmy Lawrence of West Virginia; sister, Sharon Lawrence of Ocala, FL; aunt, Lorraine Harrison of North Port; grandchildren, Kaylei, Blake, Braydon, Khloe, Eli, Kaleb and Kierra. She was preceded in death by her granddaughter, Katelynn; mother, Gail Wooden; brother, Joe Lawrence and sister, Louise Lawrence. A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 12:30pm, Sunday, December 21, 2014 at Port Charlotte beach.
