James Larry Peterson

James “Jimmy” Larry Peterson, 48, of Punta Gorda passed away August 20, 2007 at his residence surrounded by his family and friends. He was born January 27, 1959 in Decatur, Illinois at 8:17am to his proud parents James Darrell and Juanita Louise (nee Bell) Peterson. Jimmy lived in Decatur, Boston, New Orleans, Fort Myers and his beloved Punta Gorda. He loved cars and enjoyed the company of his friends. Jimmy will be remembered for being the bright light that has gone out in the city and now there is a new star in the skies over Florida. Jimmy will be greatly missed by his parents Juanita and Big Jim; his long time companion LeLand Farr along with many loving friends. He was preceded in death by his sisters April Lynn and Marla Jo. A gathering of friends to scatter his cremated remains will be at Gilchrist Park, please call the Coconut Telegraph for time and date.
